Draft — not legal advice
This document has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. It describes the intended arrangement and may change before the community opens.
DRAFT — not reviewed by legal counsel and not legal advice. Canada uses a "notice-and-notice" regime under the Copyright Act; counsel should confirm the procedure before launch.
Respecting copyright
Members may only submit material they created or have the right to submit. Content from other authors, books, games, films or franchises must not be presented as original work.
Reporting infringement
If you believe content on this website infringes your copyright, send a notice to [copyright contact email] including:
- your name and contact details;
- the work you believe is infringed, and your right to it;
- the address (URL) of the content on this website;
- a description of the alleged infringement; and
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate.
What we do
- We review notices promptly. Where appropriate we may hide content while we investigate.
- We will inform the member who posted the content and give them an opportunity to respond.
- We may remove content that we conclude infringes rights, and repeated infringement may lead to account closure.
[Counsel: confirm obligations under the notice-and-notice provisions (Copyright Act, ss. 41.25–41.27) and any process for counter-notices.]
